Privacy Policy
Glimpse operates the Glimpse app and website. This policy says what we collect, what we do with it, and how to reach us. The contact email is chris.montero@gmail.com.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We request only the basic scopes needed for that sign-in: openid, email, and profile. We use them to create your account, keep you signed in, and show your name and photo. We do not ask Google for your contacts, calendar, files, or anything beyond those basic scopes.
What you post
You can add videos, reviews, comments, ratings, and polls or votes. We store that content so it can be shown in Glimpse and so features such as search can work. Post only what you are comfortable sharing with other people.
Optional profile details
A bio, interests, and other extra profile details are opt-in. You can leave them blank, and you can change or remove them later. Your account still works without them.
Where we store it
Glimpse is hosted on Railway. Account records and content such as reviews and comments are stored in Postgres. Videos and other uploads are stored in object storage. Those cloud providers process the data so the service can run.
AI processing
We send videos and transcripts to OpenAI to produce Key Moments, summaries, and search results. OpenAI processes that material to return those features. Do not include anything in a video that you do not want processed this way.
YouTube videos
Some reviews play an embedded YouTube video. Playback of those videos is governed by YouTube’s and Google’s terms and privacy policies, in addition to this policy.
Cookies and sessions
We use a cookie to remember that you are logged in. It holds a session identifier for your login. Logging out ends that session.
Usage analytics
We record anonymous activity such as review views, Key Moment taps, searches, votes, and buy clicks. Each record uses a rotating anonymous code, not your name, email, or account id. We may later combine those records into aggregated reports. A group of fewer than 50 people is never shown in those reports. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it, and deletion
We keep account information and content while your account is open and the content is on Glimpse. We may keep a copy for a limited time afterward for security, backups, or a legal duty. You can ask us to delete your account by emailing chris.montero@gmail.com. We will delete the personal information tied to the account, unless we have to keep a specific record for a legal reason. Aggregated statistics that do not identify you may remain.
Children
Glimpse is not for children under 13, and people under 13 are not allowed to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also give notice in the app, or by email when we have an email address for you.
